How to learn?

How to husk a coconut.

1. Climb a coconut tree and grab a coconut.

2. The coconut should be the color green as it is ripe.

3. Get a rock and carve a big stick until it is sharp.

4. Get the stick and plant it to the ground until it is secured down.

5. Get the coconut stab the coconut in the stick in the middle and keep going until the skin is off.

6. Once your done get a butcher knife and cut around the coconut in half.

How to weave a basket.

1. Pull the flax down from a coconut tree.

2. You get ur flax and split it in half.

3. Get both pieces of ur flax and stick it together.

4. Start flaxing until it makes a basket.

How to keep healthy.

1. Always keep fit everyday.

2. Eat healthy fruit and vegetables.

3. Drink heaps of water so you can be hydrated.

4. Train really hard to keep your body motivated.

5. Always work hard.

How to save money?

Walt: Use connectives in our explanations.

How to save money?

• Buy things you need not want.

      When your in a shop u always get things however you        

        need than want instead, because that is how you are wasting

        money on expensive things, so you should buy things that are

        cheap and that are needed.

 

     

• Don’t spend your money all in one day.

      The main reason for not spending money all in one day, is  

        because when you get older you might as well spend it on the

        power bill, or maybe as food when you are starving.  

• Buy budgit stuff not expensive things.

       Therefore you should always stick to cheap stuff because it  

          saves money on things you need, expensive things is how you

          waste all of the things you wanted everyday.

• Piggy bank.

         Putting money in your piggy bank is saving a lot of money all

         the time although then spending your savings on expensive  

         stuff. I believe that saving money is a good choice then

  spending it all.

Conclusion: How to save money and how to not spend money on expensive things. You should save your money savings for anything you need than want.

Task description: This is all about the 8 planets and about what they are 
too, there is also a planet that is the funniest which is Uranus because it
lies's on it's side even when it is orbiting the sun. What planet do you like?

Post card

Walt: Write for a younger audience.
Task description: This term we have been learning about space so we had
to write a post card to someone about your first time landing on any kind
of planet what planet would you choose? When i land on planet mercury
i give information about what this planet is about we also have to write
about who you are giving this post card too so i started to go with the
teacher mr somerville i was really excited for doing this amazing post card.

Task description: We have been writing about space facts of planets in it's 
order some are really really interesting like Neptune having 14 moons of 
it's own self. Sometimes we have been talking about when it took ages 
to discover this planet like mercury because it was too hot that scientists 
couldn't study it because it will heat you up. 

Space writing.

Walt: Structure a narrative piece of writing.

This year in 4017 a place of extraordinary od dinosaurs who are really sometimes mischievous. But ahead of all creatures a volcano is going to explode any minute so me and my friend hinerangi are trying to escape our own planet but we are really looking forward to something we can fly in. While looking around we took a day before the volcano will explode so we laid down until we felt something bumpy i got up and saw something strange and while taking a longer look i knew it was a jet so hinerangi pressed any random button but then with a mighty blast we exploded up in the air to finding a new planet.  

Just as me and hinerangi got to this ordinary planet we finally landed we got out and saw all types of different space animals even aliens that i wasn't expecting to see, but anyways i was really excited that no other animals were really mental. Once looking around the planet no one knew us but they did look nice but i wanted them to have their moment of piece. Suddenly everyone like the space animals and aliens looked straight at us? So when they just kept looking we wanted to walk and walk but they kept following i was really annoyed. So then me and hinerangi had to run we ran as fast as we could to find a place to hide and they were at our tails so we found a cave and quickly got in.

Just while everybody and that was gone we finally ran to a different other place so that nobody finds us. Meanwhile as it was getting dark we went to sleep and had a rest from running. In the morning me and hinerangi woke up but then they had a big problem they didn’t know where they were at that time, they thought they were at the places where the space animals spot we were scared so we sneakily crept out and kept seeing if anyone like scary aliens would come. When walking around suddenly they saw one of the space animals they were terrified so they walked backwards and accidently bumped into someone oh no they knew it was the aliens they quickly ran but couldn’t escape they were getting crept out they would cook them for dinner.

As me and hinerangi was scared a voice that came out of nowhere mighten of cam from the space animals our the aliens. I talked back to see if it was them so it came again i told if it was them the aliens said yes it was really creepy but they weren’t scary at all so we started to keep talking so we can get along from them trying to cook us. I started to say are you trying to cook us they said no the spaceanimals thought that you were trying to ruin the planet by running away and stealing stuff to take to your other planet. Hinerangi said we would never do that unless we should be going to find another planet.

The aliens told us if you wanted to stay we said of course so we started to play along like tag and hide and clap. Sometimes we go and do some funny things or tell stories like long or short we also live in a scary cave i really miss my other planet but it was gone by a volcano anyways where all the stuff i had from memories.

Task description: In room 7 we have been learning about space and planets in our solar system. Out of all these planets they are named after the roman god like mars, Jupiter, and all kinds of them but mostly the stars there are most of them around the world and especially did you know that these sand grains the tiny bits don't have more then our stars around earth. Sometimes we talk about what these planets was and what they had in them.

having lots of fun about spear fishing it is a really good learning. It is 
my second time spear fishing only when it is low tide this is when i have 
a trip at Rarotonga i was surprised but scared at the same time.

Task description: Today's task for room 7 is spear fishing I've once been spear 
fishing when i was about 7 years old i was really scared because you had to go 
out in the reef it was low tide their were many kinds of things especially corals, 
and rocks we would always go out for fish this is when i was out in rarotonga 
it was my first time when i did it was fantastic. But for our reading we had been 
reading a book about fishing you could read the writing in the box if you want to
but it was a octopus reading i don't really like octopus thats my number one thing.

Insect and spider

Walt: Make connection's across multiple text's.

Just another day on thursday a insect called Selatapedia was at a wonderful spring garden walking on every showery green leaf. While ago a jumping spider came by named qwagalian was having another day in the wonderful garden just looking around. Suddenly selatapedia was just walking backwards on top of a towering tall leaf and slipped on a big patch of water and slipped at the corner and was trying to hold very tight on a medium speckled leaf and needed help.

But just as qwagalian was walking around in a chilling way he was wondering if he wanted to go back to where he was so then he turned around and walked back to the spot that he was at. Just walking along jumping around ignoring past other insects and spiders he didn’t see where he was going so he stopped and looked around and didn’t know where he was and got lost.  Qwagalian was frightened from where he was, just when he looked straight up the top a tremendous big puddle splashed on top of both eyes and splatted all over him too. But with qwagalian’s eyes he saw 3 pairs of tiny legs and wanted to see what it was or needed somebody’s help so he jumped to that leaf and saw qwagalian stuck.

So he grabbed selatapedia and pulled him right up and qwagalian was thanked from selatapedia and they both walked back to all the other insects and spiders and had a joyful day.  

Task description: This is a task about spiders and insects, so then we had to write 3 paragraphs in this story but first it was supposed to be planning it is important so that we know what were writing about. It was all about a spider and insect wondering around but suddenly?? 

Year 5 & 6 camp.

Walt: write about our experiences on camp.

Have you ever been on a cold windy camp before? Year 5 & 6 went to camp and had heaps of activities to do at summer. I was so excited that we were going to camp on Wednesday 8th of march.

The year 5 & 6 are going to camp starting on Wednesday till friday. When we got to camp we saw tents which is only 2-4 kids only in the tent, and we had started camp at Pt England School there were helpers and teachers to. It also has a activity rotation which are get lost, kayaking, basketball, rollerblades, and loads more fun things but the one that i was waiting for that i didn’t get to do was bike track i was wanting to go on but never mind any ways there were heaps of things to do.

My favorite part about camp was kayaking. When we first started kayaking it was raining really hard and the wind hit us and we got goose bumps everywhere and we all had to run to Pt England beach. Just when we got there at Pt England beach we had to go by the sand where Mr Burt was so we all ran to the sand and had to sit down and get squashed up so we don’t lose each other.

So then our team had to walk all the way to the water where the kayaks were dragged and while we were walking there was heaps of sharp shells and crabs that dig in the sand to hide themselves but i kept standing on sharp shells. Just when we got there we went on a kayak with 2 or 3 but i went with my friend Naomi so we jumped in and paddled but some of us got stuck and all of us were struggling to go away from the shallow place. But when we paddle we have to go around the green pole but i didn’t go around the pole couple of times.

Thank you helper teachers families and also leaders for helping us team at dancing and making a funny dance for us. But also helpers thanks for helping us and looking out for us if we need help. Of course the teachers were really helpful and taking our teams to the right places were supposed to go.

At camp where it is at Pt England School i learnt tons of things at camp. I learned how to do things that i didn’t know or done before in a short time. Because there is prizegiving for year 5 & 6’s, there was a lot of kids at the hall and heaps of parents and some from Pt England School cheering for every team. This was a amazing camp this year at Pt England School i wouldn't done this without you all.  


Task description: What we did at Pt England School was go to camp on Wednesday 8th march and we had a activities rotation there were loads of fun things to do i really like kayaking on camp for the first day but not when it was cold and raining but it was loads of fun anyways. But although there was a problem that we didn't go on the bike track on the last day and i thought that i was going to go on the bike track but we didn't get to and i felt sad.

Motat

Walt: write a narrative. 

Just when our trip at Motat was finished the buses already arrived but i didn’t know. When i went back to the area we were at suddenly everybody was gone on the bus except for me i was terrified alone i didn’t know what to do and where to sleep. But just when it nearly got dark i had to do something to come out of motat.

So just when it got really dark i had nothing to do and where to sleep even though i’m stuck in motat forever, i walked around everywhere and i saw a house a felt really happy. While i got inside i looked around i turned back and i saw heaps of dolls so i ran out of the house as i stopped i heard somebody coming closer towards me i jumped and i saw my friends Daisy, Amelia, Makayla, Paikea, Naomi, we all got lost together i felt really happy i wasn’t alone.    

Task description: This term we are learning about science so we went to motat it was really fun we learned about heaps of things in the olden days also we went in this place were you can learn about science. We were given paper to write about the science things you learnt it was fun.

into the cave!!

Walt: write a narrative.

Along ago in a deep mysterious jungle two kids were on a adventure to discover gold there names were Luke, and Joey. They were in a Jungle they never knew, just when they were walking deep in the jungle far far away they saw nothing but trees and grass and also rocks they got really tired walking just until. They saw a dark frightening cave

they didn’t see anything.

Suddenly one confident kid Joey was never afraid but luke didn’t think it was a great idea so they crept in this mysterious cave and looked around. They could only hear drips of water splatting on the floor and Joey and luke crawling over crackly rocks. Just when Joey leaded the way in the dark cave they heard something creeping towards them.

So they quickly ran behind a rock and saw a shadow lead to a path so they ran to the other path to see what was there it was nothing but darkness in there way. But something glowed in the dark it mighten of been someone coming so they ran behind a tall rock but his friend luke was stuck so he tried to pull him out of the rock until the shadow came closer.

He was free so they ran and something strange was going on there was the same shadow so they ran and saw something shining it was bright gold

they were coming towards it but just then. Luke and Joey got caught getting the treasure they ran and never came back with any gold.  
Task description: I have been writing about two boys called Luke and Joey. They were discovering treasure on there way into a deep cave. But just then Luke got stuck and had help with his friend but then they saw a dark shadow coming they didn't know who.

Spaceship explodes

Have you ever heard a spaceship explode? So this is how the story went, While ago two kids named Lena and Luke. Who just wanted to see what it would look like if they were out in space. They would always love to learn about spaceships and much more.

Sports drinks.

Walt: Think critically about information. Task description: I have been learning all about sport drinks for what they are/PMI. This on my blog post here is all about sport drinks and in my presentation i have been explaining what they are and there main ingredients also what they look/taste/purpose. And there are lots more to learn. In my PMI i wrote every positive thing like plus minus and interesting.

Pick a path

Task description: I have been writing about pick a path but my title is Sam's
funny story, and also Sam has been discovering in a mysterious world that
just came out of nowhere. Sam really struggles a lot. Just as Sam released
he saw a sign which was called cliff he didn't like the sound of that because he
always gets scared and his stuff fly's away.

Jorelle olympic games

Friday 5th of august start's the Rio 2016 Olympic games. What people don't know about the Olympic 2016 games is they have a huge stadium witch is held in Brazil. Their are going to be heaps of people crowded in the stadium at Brazil having their competitions.


I'm so excited to see people celebrating the Rio 2016 Olympic games in the stadium at Brazil. There would be a lot of competitions and especially people. 



What i would really want to see is Valarie Adams is a shot putter. You will need to do is drink Gatorade it gives you strong legs and arms and is the ultimate thing to make you strong and especially fit
